calls upon the long-term application of low Value Added Tax to tourist accommodation, restaurant and café

services and in general to tourism services, in order to help the tourism industry to increase its competitiveness

on the global travel market and to help Europe to remain the number one tourism destination in the world. The

European tourism stakeholder alliance as represented by all signing parties beneath, together with HOTREC also

call upon the mapping of all tourism taxes and levies affecting tourism at national level and the assessment of

their impact on competitiveness.
